SUMMER CORPORATE CASUAL

For quite some time, Ann Taylor has always been a go-to brand of mine for corporate casual fashion, most specifically, for the summer months! A few months ago I styled an Ann Taylor look for work featuring these white wide leg cropped pants that are the perfect transitional piece for your workwear collection! While looking for some summer pieces, I stumbled upon this White Peplum Top and White Pencil Skirt – it’s such an easy grab-n-go look for work, but looks like you spent days putting it together! Style the peplum top with jeans or a pair of trousers, and style the skirt with another blouse or sweater! You guys know that I love monochromatic, so adding the White Pumps was a must!

Another hot trend this season are Woven Belts – they are an easy accessory that can elevate your look within seconds for any scenario. Over the weekend I styled my new Mara Hoffman dress with this woven belt – it was an easy way to give the dress a little something else for the occasion! Of course, you can’t go through this season without seeing someone wear a knotted headed band and this Headband from Ann Taylor is currently 50% off! Buying a trend y piece on sale is a great way to test the waters with a trend without the broader financial commitment.

FAVORITE WORKWEAR BRANDS

  1. Ann Taylor has been one of my favorite workwear brands since the beginning of my work career. I find that once you know your size in the brand, you can easily order online with no fuss. They are constantly having sales allowing you to truly build an arsenal of pieces for work. Ann Taylor also makes THE BEST work shoes! They are made of great quality materials, they are durable, comfortable and last on your feet all day!
  2. Banana Republic is a classic workwear brand. They carry really great basics for layering and their shoes, like Ann Taylor, are really comfortable for work. Banana Republic creates those effortless pieces that you can easily take from work to the weekend with the help of a little restyling! They also have really great sales so I encourage you to sign up for their emails!
  3. Mango is one of those brands that does a REALLY good job of bridging the gap of workwear and weekend wear.  Mango is a brand for the women who takes fashion risks at work and is more fashion forward in the work place. I LOVE their oversized, menswear inspired suits – they are incredibly chic! Think allll the monochromatic vibes!
  4. COS, a store I was only introduced to a few years ago, is the epitome of european effortlessly chic. Organized by color, this brand creates simple silhouettes that are flattering for all body types. Owned by H&M, COS is the older, more fashionable sister of the brand with a strong sense of fashion. If you have flexibility in the definition of corporate casual in your office, this is your brand. So many amazing pieces that can be versatile throughout your wardrobe!
