Taking My Rothys Footwear Around Seattle
Seattle is still new to me, but I am taking it all in, one day at a time! My favorite way to explore any city is by foot, which means comfortable footwear is a purchase I will always justify! Rothys is a sustainable footwear brand that gives you comfort, and style, all day! Is there anything else you’d want from a shoe?! Today I’m taking my Rothys footwear around Seattle and sharing some of my favorite places to visit! Rothys uses post consumer water bottles, recycled foam and non-toxic adhesives. You feel good about wearing them knowing that you are supporting a brand that cares about the longevity of our planet. But seriously, how cool is that?! I bet that will make think more about recycling your water bottles from now on.

LEOPARD PRINT POINTY TOE ROTHYS LOOK:
Leopard print is having a HUGE moment right now and I’m loving every minute of it! It’s a classic, yet edgy print, that amplifies your look in seconds! It’s the best way to give a casual look some personality! If you are looking for a shoe to elevate your workwear looks, try adding a print like leopard for contrast. Styling this shoe with the collared blouse and paper bag pants, gives my workwear look the personality it needs.

PIKE PLACE
Commonly called “Pike’s Place”, it’s actually Pike place for the name of the street! Every weekend we love taking a stroll down to the market to take in all the craziness that is the Pike Place Market. While it’s a heavily trafficked area all week long, there is something about the Market doesn’t make it feel overly touristy. Local farmers and fishermen sell their weekly catch or products at the market – the flowers are ABSOLUTELY insane and are never more than $15! I would buy a bouquet before we started living here, just to have in our hotel room![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end] Down at Pike Place you can find some amazing Seattle treasures like Piroshky Piroshky one of my favorite bakeries in the market – and, of course, the original Starbucks! I love walking down the cobble stone streets taking in the live music with a cup of Storyville Coffee in my hand – if you are coming to Seattle soon, it’s a MUST!
POST ALLEY
An extension of Pike Place is Post Alley – a super charming cobble stone street packed with cute shops and restaurants with local fare. One of our favorite spots to take people when them come to Seattle is The Pink Door – it’s an Italian restaurant tucked away in the alley like a diamond in the rough. Again, it’s in a touristy spot, but the entertainment and ambience is super authentic and doesn’t make you feel that way at all![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]
Every night they have live cabaret and burlesque entertainment! If if you are in town, be sure to book a table around 8pm so that you don’t miss out on the show!

PERSIMMON POINTY TOE ROTHYS LOOK:
While I love a good leopard moment, persimmon is my new FAVORITE color this fall! Now thats a for a few reasons – 1) it makes me think of the fruit, which I love, 2) it’s fun to say and 3) persimmon is a great way to add color to your look! This H&M pinstripe blazer and high waisted denim combo, is my every day go-to look – it’s a successful recipe for every day chic. By adding these persimmon pointy toe flats, I’ve added a pop of color this look didn’t even know it needed!

TOPPOT DOUGHNUTS:
Seattle is known for their many coffee and donut shops – there are so many that sometimes it’s hard to pick! Our current favorite is TOPPOT doughnuts – we have one located three blocks from our house (deadly) and it’s a great place to kick up your feet and enjoy a cup of joe with a guilt free donut (not really, but that is what I tell myself). My persimmons pointed Rothys took this look up a notch, but giving it the pop of color it needed. [ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]

SEATTLE WATERFRONT:
Another one of my favorite place in Seattle to visit is the waterfront and pier – there is nothing like the Seattle waterfront and it the best part is, it can be enjoyed year round! If the touristy activities are too much, talk a walk along the water past the piers towards Discovery Park. You can pick up a city bike along the way for a few dollars and take it for miles along the waterfront. We did this the during the first month we moved here and it was a blast![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]
If you are looking for a good meal on the water, try Anthony’s Pier 66 – it has great views and tasty seafood! If you are looking for a bit of nostalgia with a birds eye view, make your way over to the ferris wheel to take in some of the best views of the Seattle Waterfront and beyond! On a clear day you can see Mt. Rainer!
