Lady in Red
So I started typing this post out as if it was Wednesday to later realize that its freaking Thursday!! Please tell me that I’m not along and that the days easily escape you – where has the week gone?! Summer don’t leave us!!! (Ok, breathe. Summer won’t leave without saying goodbye. Right?).
Today I’m sharing a fun look that I put together for my takeover of the LTK Instagram account, and because it’s always been a desire of mine to shoot in this area of Chicago! The view down Lasalle Street towards the Board of Trade is one of my favorite views in the city. The buildings create this long tunnel towards the Board of Trade that seem so grand and power. I love walking the street during the week, free of traffic, like it’s my own. Have you seen the movie The Dark Knight? Do you know the scene where they flip the truck? Yup, thats this street! Pretty cool huh?
To mimic the power and energy from the street I wore this, insane, red suit I recently bought for work. I mean blazers are on the outs and the cape blazers are coming in – look ma, no hands! This Lavish Alice cape blazer is so chic yet still proves to be appropriate for any work situation. Last week was the last match of the Manchester United preseason tour and this suit was worn during the final match – it felt like the perfect bon voyage look!
