The Blazer that Color Blocks

Some days just call for a kick ass pair of denim, a simple tee, blazer and some wicked pumps for a little oomph. I bought these jeans roughly 10 years ago; who knew high-waisted jeans would 1) make a comeback and 2) stay through another decade. I for one enjoy them. Who doesn’t want to live in a pair of jeans that makes your legs look longer and slimmer? Said no one ever.
Sure when you think of bellbottoms you think of the 70’s, and when you think of white washed denim, you think of the 90’s, or Wranglers. But, when you marry the two together, it makes a combination I’m not mad at. I digress…
I’m a big supporter of clothing that does the thinking and styling for you. This blazer for example, a #fabfound find at Marshalls that I simply could not refuse. When I want to wear a t-shirt and jeans all while looking effortlessly chic, I call in the reinforcements, aka the blazer that color blocks. My favorite detail on the blazer is the navy lining in the sleeves, which, when folded, color blocks some more. In the words of Will Smith, “DKNY all up in my eye.”
Well, I’m off to see a lady about my hair….I think I might go blonde today 🙂
Happy Friday folks! Enjoy the weekend!
