Can anyone else believe that it’s the end of August!? Where is this year going? The end of Summer is quickly approaching and with Fall on the horizon, I have Fall fashion on my mind. Fall is arguably the best fashion season – hands-down, no question, no argument! The colors, the prints, the textures – the warm days and cool evenings. I can’t get enough of it! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite Summer to Fall transitional fashion pieces that are all under $200.
Transitional fashion is all about finding those key pieces that you can wear across both seasons and still feel seasonally and weather appropriate. Think of maxi dresses styled with combat boots and layered with leather jackets. Or Summer silhouettes in deep earth tones to highlight your summer glow. This maxi dress from BB Dakota is the PERFECT summer to fall piece! First, olive has to be one of my favorite colors on this planet and the button detailing is perfect! This can surely stand on it’s own in the summer, but in the fall, you can incorporate a leopard print cardigan, with black boots and a black belt to really help the piece crossover from summer to fall.
Denim during this time is your friend! When we have those hot summer days, but cool summer nights, denim is the perfect piece to grab for your in closet to style with some strappy sandals and a tank. I LOVE these pair from Good American – the wash speaks perfectly to the season and the distressed action is super chic! Another amazing go-to denim brand is DL1961 – pick up their black kick crop jeans. Perfect for fall and winter with boots and booties!
Accessorizing is my favorite part of fall – the boots, the layers, the hats! Lack of Color brought the bucket hat to life this summer and are continuing that trend on into Fall with a suede version. It. Is. Gorg! During the Fall season, you can up your denim game with the perfect denim boiler suit like this one from Pistola Denim. I personally own of their boiler suits and LOVE the versatility! When the temps get colder, add a turtleneck and layer with outerwear! Or if that is too much denim or you, try this version from Madewell – the color is amazing!!
