Today just might be the best day ever – today we woke up in Paris. Eeeeeeeeeeeee! We had plans to go visit Cape Cod this weekend, but Hurricane Jose derailed our plans. This trip had been booked for months to celebrate my birthday, but what can you do about the weather! After a little digging, and a lot of points, we were able to finagle Paris! Brian and I have never been together which is extra special. The plan is to visit different neighborhoods, eat a lot of cheese and drink of lot of wine. Since the weather in Chicago is unspeakably hot right now, the cool temperatures in Paris are calling my name – Fall fashion finally! This One Shoulder Bow Top from J.Crew is the perfect piece to wear for our leisurely walks around Paris this weekend!

Why I love this look
(everything is under $50)
Top with Bow – Love the bow detailing on this top and how it can easily be worn from day to night.
Distressed Denim – H&M has become my go-to denim shop – its high quality at such a good price.
Platform Oxfords – LOVE these shoes. You either love them or hate. Contrary to how they look, they are very comfortable and will easily be my go-to’s this fall.
Bamboo Bag – Such a great bag and I found it on Etsy for a fraction of the price. See how I styled it here too.
Retro Sunglasses – The classic shape of these sunnies truly pair well with all face shapes!
The best part about being in Paris is the fashion inspiration – Parisian chic is an easy style to embody – it’s all about chic elevated casual-wear. I packed almost every fall goodie that I scored during some Labor Day sales. This top and skirt from H&M will be perfect for a day of walking around – this black top and faux leather pants will be the perfect date night look! I love these black leather pants – they look and feel so expensive and real! Stay tuned for Parisian outfit posts!
Today’s look is all about channeling that Parisian chic with this One Shoulder Bow Top from J.Crew – the feminine details of the top really balance the menswear inspired denim and oxfords. These platform oxfords are easily one of my favorite styles – they were super on trend last fall, but are hanging around for another season – I can’t wait to style them with a dress or skirt combo.
