Peek – A – Boo
The weekend is over (sigh), but I’m starting the week off again with cutout dress. See my post from last week with another cutout dress look here. I used to be terrified of them, and now, I can’t get enough of them. The collar is such a darling factor to the dress and gives it that “back to school” feel. Side note – Were you one of those kids that would stalk store catalogs, because the internet and websites didn’t exists, for school clothes. It was my favorite thing to earmark a page with something I wanted for my fall wardrobe. Yes, I recognize that I have a problem that existed pretty early on. Landsend and J.Crew were a go to for me! What was yours? Any way…
A few weeks ago Brian and I went to the Taste of the Nation event at Navy Pier. It was the who’s who of the culinary world – Stephanie Izard, Fabio Viviani and so many more. We ate chicken from Leghorn, oysters from Bow & Stern Oyster Bar, fruity/rum concoctions from Three Dots and a Dash, and innovative whisky cocktails from The Aviary. Needless to say, wearing a dress with elastic and cutouts on the side, is another lesson is strategic fashion. I also learned that eating, walking, talking and drinking is not something I will accomplish. I successfully left a food trail in the venue attempting to do all that, hold my clutch and take a few pictures – of course.
Happy Monday!
