Top of Milan
I am pleased to say that I saw little buds sprouting on the trees in my neighborhood. Dare I say it? I think it might be spring (knock on wood, quick)!! I’m still hesitant to do thing like, swap out my winter coats or, pack up my boots. Normally I’m not a superstitious person, but when it comes to the weather in Chicago, I’m confident that getting excited about warm weather can single-handily ruin the moment.
Today I’m sharing a look back from our Milan trip – I know it feels like I am milking that trip for everything it was worth. Maybe, but, this is one of the final looks from that trip I’m going to share. It’s quick, easy, casual and a little chic – I didn’t want to disappoint the residents of Milan. You can say so much with a few colors and textures, and I did just that with this look. I layered a few shades of grey with a blanket scarf for a pop of color. Pairing the looking with a few neutral accessories gave the overall look a clean feel. But, no look is complete without a great pair of distressed denim.
As I’m writing this I’m also realizing that I have an unhealthy obsession with distressed denim. At some point, maybe like five years from now, I’m going to look back and think, “seriously, why??” Why save for your future when you can purchase jeans with holes in them right? My dad is always the first to comment and to say how ridiculous they look. He also said that about pegging jeans – he may have been right there, but I know there are still a few of us out there that practice the art of pegging.
Happy Wednesday!
