Casual Fringe

IMG_5167I love a good sweatshirt that is ready to party. Now, I’m normally not quick to reach for one, but when packing for our trip to Orlando / Harry Potter World, I knew in that moment I needed to pick function over fashion. Well this Jcrew sweatshirt with fringe hem was like an answer from heaven and the fashion gods were looking down on me. The fringe detailing is perfection and is a great element that allows the sweatshirt to be dressed up or down! This is likely one time where I’ll say it’s ok to wear a sweatshirt, unless its this

Todays look is all about the ease of casual wear – I love taking three pieces and pairing them together for an effortless look. I wore this look a few weeks ago when we were on our trip in Orlando. I needed something functional for our day of walking – side note, we walked 15 miles in two days at the parks. Insane! My legs were so tired I felt like I was hungover. I digress…

This Jcrew sweatshirt with fringe hem was the perfect focal point to this casual look! I mean who can resist fringe!!! I layered the sweatshirt with this perfect bomber jacket (because it was freezing) and bundled with this beige wool scarf from H&M. Obviously distressed denim was a must (like these from H&M) – my mom asked my the other day why I wear jeans with holes in the them. My reply? Because all the cool kids are doing it AND my jeans only have holes in them – man made or not!IMG_5182

The look wouldn’t be completed without every single nude accessory I own – the scarf, the bag, the shoes!!! This Linea Pelle bag was a dream walking around the park – it fit everything I brought with me and everything I bought while there! It conveniently has a cross body strap so you can be hands free too – I love it when the bag does the thinking for you!

  1. Really loving this fringe! I have to say – love wearing sweatshirts but hate feeling un-chic in them. This is perfect for that sophisticated but casual look. 🙂

  2. As always, you just look fabulous but I love the fringe. It is casual and not over the top. Quite tasteful and I love how you paired this outfit together. You have a real art for pairing pieces together! Teach me your ways 😉 xx
