Hello and happy Wednesday! In the words of Dr. Dre, “Hold up…waiiiit”, is next week REALLY the 4th of July? Where did summer go? Did I miss it?!? Don’t get me wrong, I love the fall, I’m just not ready for it by any means! I have a personal goal this summer to spend as much time in Chicago as possible and treating each day like a vacation – I take so much that the city has to offer for granted! Do you ever feel that way? Any way….

Today I’m sharing some fourth of July fashion inspiration –  I know, holy crap, it’s next week. What to wear? What BBQ to go to? Where am I watching the fireworks?!?! Well, I’m actually going to be out of the country (insert sad face and happy face). I’m excited to share where I’ll be traveling next so stay tuned. Packing for the trip has certainly tested my packing, and fashion, skills – I’ve been limited to 44 lbs, it’s a challenge I’m willing to take! More to come…

Dresses for me are an easy one-stop-shop, and always have been – I let the dress do the talking while the accessories do the walking. Take an easy summer dress and pair it with a panama hat (a summer essential) and a bright colored espadrille for a pop of color – it’s the fastest road to chic you’ll ever drive. I actually bought this dress from Revolve Clothing back in early March and have been petting it every day since it arrived – today was the first day I wore it and I never want to take it off! The combination of the seersucker with the skater skirt is perfection, and how about the cutout. I think I have a thing for cutouts, can you tell…see here.

The easy part about dressing for this holiday is that odds are you have something red, white and blue in your closet. Be creative and bold with your pairings to create something unique for you and your style – it’s always fun when playing around with colors, especially red, white and blue! Let freedom ring 🙂

Head over to Wandeleur for more inspiration on fourth of July fashion that I put together!

  1. I am so excited to hear where you’ll be traveling. I always hope people care where I’m going and I am so nosy I want to know where others are and where they’re traveling. I don’t know how your photography is so crisp & incredible but you pull it off every single time. Also I love how your shoes match the color on your clutch 😉 xx
