Brown Pleated Midi Skirt

Today we are going back to basics with fall monochromatic colors. Monochromatic styling is such a clean and chic way to make a statement….and did I say easy? For this look, I styled my favorite brown pleated midi skirt and styled with a men’s oversized tee to build an easy two step look! I love challenging myself to think outside the box at times and get creative with the pieces inside my closet! But let us not forget…shopping is fun too!

WHY I LOVE THIS LOOK:

Oversized T-Shirt // When I was looking to put this post together I knew I wanted it to be monochromatic so I went on the hunt for a brown tee. Considering brown is one of THE colors of the season, I couldn’t find one! So I went to the men’s department at Target and found this perfect oversized brown tee! PSA: ladies, if you man’s is looking for a new clothing line, Goodfellow Co. from Target is amazing!

Pleated Faux Leather Skirt // I love a good midi faux leather moment in the fall – don’t you? The one featured in this post is an oldie from Ann Taylor, but I found a few good runner ups that are under $50.

Navy Suede Booties // A few weeks ago, I wore these beauties in a post with “how to style Naturalizer five ways this fall” – see here for the full post. You can never go wrong with a classic navy bootie – they style well with any of the fall classic colors!
