The Derby isn’t just in Kentucky!
Well Chicago, the Derby is just a week and some change away, and it’s time to start locking down your plans. I’m making life easy for you and have provided you with a hand crafted list of some of the best places, and parties, to take in your Derby festivities. From a Derby charity event to a casual bar with BBQ with whisky – it’s all there.
You know what they say – first comes the venue, then comes the outfit. Stay tuned for my Derby fashion post featuring some of this seasons hottest pieces from Cache. Every party needs an outfit, especially a Derby party 🙂

Purchase the Derby Party Zone ticket package and get the authentic Churchill Downs experience, including a Derby hat contest and an official Derby Julep Glass, as well as a food and drink package – priorities.

You’re going to need something to wash the bourbon down 🙂 If mother nature plays nice, enjoy your cocktail on their spacious patio. Post Derby you can walk next door to Sweet Mandy’s B to top your evening off with a cupcake!

Maybe you’ll see a couple of Chicago sport legends and celebrities in the mix. Remember – wear your Derby best!

Be one of the first 100 to arrive, and get a souvenir julep cup! Hey y’all!

The scoop: Enjoy the Derby from Chicago’s #1 rooftop! Make sure to get there early so that you have a place to stand upstairs. If you aren’t interested in the Derby, this is probably the best place for people watching 🙂
