And here we are, the final 24 hours of 2014. It’s a time for us to reflect on the last 364 days of the year – on what we accomplished, on what we did well, on what we didn’t do well and if we accomplished our goals set from the previous year. This year I have a few things set aside for myself to accomplish –
1) Maintaining and constantly improving our quality of life. I work like a crazy person, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters are the people you love.
2) Make more time for the ones I love
3) Become a vegetarian – I know. Big step, but I think it’s time
4) Save money (cough)
5) Travel more
6) Continue to grow Sportsanista
Today I’m sharing a little sparkly NYE outfit inspiration. I bought this dress for our holiday party this year and fell in love with the reversible sequins. Flatten them one way and the dress is a bright silver – flatten them another way and they are bronze. The dress is perfect for any party and ends up serving as a great party trick 🙂 You’ll see some of the bronze tones in a few pictures!
I paired the dress with the best hand-me-down item ever. My great aunt Dolly was a true fashionista – a large majority of her wardrobe was custom-made. She had the most beautiful dresses, coats and furs that I always admired from afar. My mom was finally ready to part with this coat and handed it down to me – which I will be forever grateful for. The only thing better that the color of this coat is the collar. It served as the perfect accessory on top of the sequin dress – there is no better way to say goodbye to 2014 than with sequins and hot pink!
Tonight I’ll be ringing in the new year with Brian and family – not sure there is a better way to do it! Wishing you all an amazing and prosperous and New Year. See you in 2015!!
