Marshalls Surprise
Is it Friyay yet? Please! Can it be? Who is ready for the long weekend – meeeeeeeee! So, fun stuff to share today friends! For the past three days I was in Boston for Marshalls’ Blogger Bootcamp – it was far too much fun getting meet the Marshalls staff and other bloggers part of the program. My stomach hurts from laughing so much! One of my new found friends / blogger confidant / inspirational advice seeker / so creative you could puke, is a Marshalls blogger too! Life is more fun when you have a kick ass friend by your side. I cannot wait to share more on what we will be doing with Marshalls and how you can find your Marshalls surprise too![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]Ok so before we go any further you all need to properly meet Lauren Kelp. She and I met at event in NYC at an she hosted around New York Fashion Week last September – she was kind enough to invite me amongst all these other extremely talent bloggers. Lauren is one of those SUPER creative individuals that you want to hate, but you can’t because she is one of the nicest people you have ever met. I am so thankful that our paths crossed and that our blogs give us the opportunity to work together! Be sure to check out her site (here) – her content is so thoughtful and you’ll walk away feeling empowered to throw an event for 50ppl like a pro![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]So I’m obsessed with the color olive – in any season, but especially the summer. It’s a super flattering color on all skin types and can be paired with just about anything! I’ve been on the hunt for some summer work dresses and came across this beauty at J.Crew last week. I literally ran towards it once I entered the store like I was in a sample sale or something. The light linen fabric is perfect for summer and it has a lining for those extra hot and sweaty days – real talk. The detailing on the front with the gold grommets is like a built in necklace. Perfect! I added some simple accessories around the dress like this panama hat (that I’m LIVING in right now) and these really comfortable espadrilles (that go with EVERYTHING).Now was our outfit planned? No and I’m dead serious. We also showed up to the airport on Monday separately, wearing the same look. Thats true friendship friends. Lauren is actually wearing a dress that she styled like a jacket – genius! She layered it over a cute tee and high-waisted skinny! The look has such a cute retro vibe that can be worn anywhere!
