Gameday Bowl Chic – Part I
This past weekend there was a lot of football and not a lot of fashion – conference championships and bowl selection. How did your team fair? We landed on the Liberty Bowl – Ill take it! Let’s Go Mountaineers!
Essentially these events have laid the foundation and are setting the stage for bowl game fashion. Some choose to wear a dirty smelly t-shirt that has won them a lot of games – well, I’m not superstitious. This week I’m partnering with University Girls Apparel to share my bowl game fashion lookbook for your favorite teams. There is nothing more frustrating as a fan when you go to a website to buy a team branded shirt and all you can find are ill fitting jerseys and pink tops – blah. What I love about UG Apparel is that they offer a variety of pieces, for your body and that incorporate school pride without an obnoxious logo – I’d say thats the holy grail of gameday fashion right there!
I paired this Virginia Tech Hokies Striped Fleece Sweatshirt with my favorite “Hokie” colored pleated dress from Whistles – a great England trip find! The pieces compliment each other in both style and color. Pairing gameday essentials with todays trends is easy peasy, unless you’re a Notre Dame fan…..
To accessorize the look, I added my favorite go-to fall suede over-the-knee boots – Michael Kors couldn’t have done any better with these boots. I added this great bag from Duex Lux. It’s perfect for stadium regulations – not to mention the tassels give it some serious sass. This hat from Ann Taylor is the cherry on top – anything bejeweled has my heart.
