ANNNND we are back! Is it me or is it always the fastest weekend ever? We did much of nothing which is always great! Spent a little time at the pool (thank you Chicago sun) and saw Mad Max – did anyone see Mad Max over the weekend? Thoughts? I’ve never seen the original ones and didn’t really know what to expect. It was intense and the special effects were crazy – aside from that I think I missed the plot….maybe it’s just me. I digress…
Today fashionable athletic wear and the notion of “athleisure”are taking over the world. I’m starting my Monday off right with one of my favorite athletic wear brands – Kyodan. There has been a total shift from bland athletic wear to stylish athletic wear that has dual functions. This shift is promoting style and fashion in all area of our lives, not just to work or on the concrete catwalk. Kyodan is one of those brands that provide garments in the form of function and fashion – their collection is full of prints, color fun detailing. Last week I was in a spin class and the instructor said to a women in the class, “I love your color pairing and top – your look is very on point!” It was then that I realized how this trend is outside of my Sportsanista bubble, that everyone is participating and styling their athletic wear to workout.
Now that the weather is shifting I like to take my workout outdoors – there is nothing practicing yoga in the fresh air! The only disclaimer is look out for dog poop – the dog owners in my neighborhood are so negligent! Todays look is centered around these amazing printed pants by Kyodan and they are reversible so you can get multiple uses out of them! Amazing! The print and color in the pants are so much fun and I wanted to play off of that with my top and shoes. This sports bra by Kyodan is the perfect color with added detailing on the back – a sports bra that is meant to be worn 🙂 It was a no brainer when picking out the perfect pair of Nikes – Nike certainly does make it fun when shopping for shoes these days right? Your options aren’t limited to white and clunky! You can never go wrong with a bright pair of Nikes to compliment any look!
How do you style your athletic wear? Would love to hear how you dress up your workout!
