If there is one thing I enjoyed most while being in California, it was the sunshine! In Chicago, the sunshine likes to play hide and seek for months. It was so lovely to have the sun kiss my skin, even if it was covered in SPF 100! With sunshine on the schedule for our trip, I planned to pack a number of warm weather items including this fabulous Beachgold Bali dress! The perforated detailing on the bottom gives the dress a sexy edge and can be paired with a moto jacket when wearing the look for errands!

Oh Monday, you are the worst! I’m certainly not ready for you so you can just go away. Anyone else agree? I’ve been in California for the last two weeks and I’m not sure I’ll ever leave. The fact that I can have my coffee outside is a new found love for me. We made a point to spend a lot of time outside because we knew what was waiting for us in Chicago – snow!

While the weather is fabulous during the day in California, it gets a little nippy at night so I made sure to pack some cozy clothes for our brisk California nights. This LOFT turtleneck sweater dress was the perfect piece to pack along on the trip – not to mention its the coziest sweater dress ever!!

Happy Wednesday friends! This week is flying and for the first time ever I’d like it to take a halt….because I’m still on vacation. I sat out in the sun the last two days in San Diego watching as my Chicago friends get pummeled with snow, ice and sleet – winter came and I wasn’t there. That is the exact scenario I’d like every time. The other day Brian and I went wandering in Palos Verdes and found some beautiful look outs points of the bay. I’m taking it all in before it’s time to leave paradise and head back to the concrete jungle.
