Business in the Front, Party in the Back!

Morning Sportsanistas! Hope you all had great weekends!

The Courtney Kerr

Today is officially titled Mullet Monday. With the mullet making a large comeback in fashion silhouettes this season, I thought I’d delve into this tread and see what the crack was……little did I know how addicting if would be.

It all started when I was checking out one of my favorite reality tv stars’s site, Courtney Kerr from Bravo’s Most Eligible Dallas. A rockstar in all her glory on that show, she didn’t disappoint ever! A few weeks ago she posted an article about Neutrals and Neons. I obsessed over every piece she spoke about and wouldn’t rest until I had them all in my possession. First things first, the dress!

I searched high and low, no pun intended, at every Forever 21 in the Chicagoland area for the neutral mullet dress she featured. Just when I was about to give up, I spotted it on a rack in the fitting room of Forever 21 and it was an XS…..totes mcgotes meant to be! On a side note, the dress is not available online, so if you love it like I do, you’ll have to go to the store! With the dress being neutral, it allowed me to have fun with my accessories and other pieces I was going to add to the look. After using Courtney for inspiration, I made the look my own by pairing it with a blue blazer from H&M (similar), a neon necklace from H&M (similar) and this neutral belt from H&M (similar)…..lord do I love that store 🙂 Wear this combination to work, then take it out for a night on the town!

Need some inspiration of your own on how to rock the mullet? Here are my “flying V” of top choices and they are all under $60….talk about a game changing play! I’m crushing hard on this purple mullet dress by Hive and Honey. Don’t have any place to wear it? I suggest you find a place! Looking for something a little more conservative to wear to work? Pair this coral pleated mullet skirt  by Forever 21 with a bright blouse; it screams summer fun! And this pottery mullet maxi skirt by Sanctuary has versatility qualities….spring to summer to fall; my wallet sure does love versatility!!

Happy Mullet Monday folks!
