Bonjour Monsieur
Hello lovers! How are you all? Did you have a good weekend? What did you get up to? I did something I never do – I stayed put and made no plans the entire weekend, well, other than to watch the Oscars. I caught up on blogging, I cleaned out my closet (I still have some major work to do – more to come), I caught up on GIRLS (OMG what do you think of the latest episode), I slept A LOT, I reorganized my kitchen cabinets, and I managed to put on some (decent) clothes and trek to Target. I’m pretty happy with how my weekend went and I look forward to many more like this.
As if it’s not obvious enough, I’m over my winter wardrobe and ready for spring. True story – when spring gets here, I’ll be ready for summer. Such is life. I digress….My spring cravings have come with A LOT of fashion “research” – some like to call it shopping, I call it research. Everyone is having raging sales lately on some really great things – I feel like I’ve hit the fashion jackpot! It all started with this amazingly adorable Kate Spade bag – when Kate Spade has a sale, I run. It’s the perfect addition to my spring/summer wardrobe and is a great conversation piece. The colors and print of the bag inspired my overall look for today.
You can’t go wrong with neutral tones in any season – while the tones change from season to season, the notion of neutral items stays the same. I went with a pale pink color palate to play off the adorable bag. I’m not a pink person AT ALL, but for some reason I’m really drawn to pink hues lately. It all started with this amazing pink moto jacket. It’s the perfect addition to my spring wardrobe, followed by these great distressed skinnies from Topshop – which by the way are $60!!! Finding denim at that price these days is like trying to find the holy grail – I’m serious.
