A Weekend in Tuscon
[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end] [/ezcol_1half_end]Happy Monday friends! We spent a weekend in Tuscon visiting family and eating all the tacos we could handle, along with some much needed fun in the sun! The Loews Ventana Canyon was our home for the weekend – this was our second time staying here too! They have a GREAT pool and the most of the grounds is actually desert hiking! If you are ever in the area or traveling to Tuscon, its certainly worth the visit! For this trip, I dipped in to the Rent the Runway closet and picked up a few pieces for the southwest climate!

RENT THE RUNWAY
I love using Rent the Runway when I’m in a pinch or don’t have time to really think or shop. If you have never used the service, here is how it works – Rent the Runway has a few options on how you can use their services. One way is to order a la carte from their site, have the items shipped to you and you get to borrow them for a four day time period. The second option is to become a monthly subscription holder. You pay a monthly fee and in exchange you get access to everything on their site, you can order four items at a time and keep them for as along as you like.
For this trip, I needed easy summer dresses that were easy to grab-n-go pieces. This J.O.A. palm leaf print dress is perfection! J.O.A. is one of my favorite brands – they do a really great job of making on-trend pieces under $100! This J.O.A. yellow floral print dress also made the trip. This is a dress you can easily take from day to night – this is a great casual wedding guest dress too! I wore this $2,000 silk maxi to dinner one night – this is another amazing piece for vacation or a wedding!

A WEEKEND IN TUSCON
- Looking for a great place to stay, try the Loews Ventana Canyon. It’s a large spacious hotel with great restaurants, a pool big enough for adults and kids and hiking trails on the property. We spent the entire day at the pool – who can resist cocktailing at the pool?
- The best brunch I’ve had in a while was at Prep + Pastry. It’s a cute little spot, with the most delicious pastries – try the raspberry chocolate croissant! Little tip: you can add your name to their waitlist from home so you don’t have to wait at the restaurant!
- We had the BEST time at Seis Kitchen and Catering for dinner on our last night. The Mercado District is a cute area with southwest style boutiques, bars, restaurants and apartments. We ate at Seis Kitchen and sat outside listening to live music – it’s perfect for kids too! I ordered the taco platter with fish and chicken tinga – the fish was AMAZING! Oh and get the smashed beans for your side. AND the taquitos as your app. You will NOT regret this order!
