Gap Ribbed Shawl Cardigan

Hello first post of 2017! Ill be a little honest, I have been slaking big time. After the holidays, NYE party, flying home from L.A. on two hours of sleep, then heading straight back to work, I’m a little tired. So when I come home at night, I binge watch Housewives and Leah Remini’s new show (OMG, you need to watch it). So I can you can say, I’m doing everything but resoluting. But, you know what, thats ok. I set goals throughout the year for myself personally and professionally, who says I have to commit to them all on Jan. 1? More on this later in the post. Today I’m sharing this SUPER cozy winter look – this Gap Ribbed Shawl Cardigan is the perfect way to mix up that winter drab!

For the holiday break we headed to Tuscon and then Los Angeles for a little west coast R&R. It was so nice to spend the week not answering emails and just enjoying the silence. I mean, how often do we get to do something like that. For me, its the ONLY time of year where my work emails are quiet and no one is looking for anything. I miss it already. It was nice to catch-up on the things that I’ve been neglecting over the past few months aka blogging. Super excited to share so much more content with you all!

So back to New Years resolutions. Have you made any for yourself? For me it seems strange to designate a time of year to declare goal – for me, I try to set achievable goals throughout the year. This year is going to be a crazy one, so my main goal will be to make the time to take a step back every once in a while. We are getting married in 7 months and with that comes a whole lot of stress that wasn’t going to be there in the first place! So taking those little breaks are going to help me refocus. What are you big goals for the year?

With resolutions and goals aside, it’s freaking cold out in Chicago. I left sunny California to come back to the Chicago cold, but lets hope that its over in the next two months. This SUPER cozy look is the answer to all my winter drab concerns. This neutral look is the perfect way to break-up the winter drab (two words you will read a lot on this blog over the next two months). This gap ribbed shawl cardigan is the cardigan of your dreams – it’s a coat, it’s a cardigan and I don’t know what else, it’s just damn good.

And in the process of finding this ribbed shawl cardigan, I found my winter denim in these high-waisted ones from H&M. They go with EVERYTHING friends and are under $40 – buy them here and thank me later.
