Denim on Denim

Happy Monday! I just want to say that I’m not mad at the fact that it’s Monday. Maybe it’s the great weekend I had, or that Valentines Day is on the horizon, OR that this red wool coat has completely transformed my day. As a Chicagoian, you can plan your winter looks all you want, but unless you are taking your #ootd’s in your house, ain’t nobody gonna see your what your wearing. Over the years being conditioned to these extremely cold winters, I’ve learned to be a little more darling, and creative, in my outerwear. Outwear is essentially your statement piece during the winter – or at least for me it is. I don’t know one Chicago woman with a drab coat – the Chicago woman is walking down the streets in fur, vintage wool, plaid, leather and embellished coats, making a statement even while commuting.
