Home Tour
Today I’m SUPER excited to share a peek inside our home compliments of the lovely Lauren Painter from Neighborhood-Ing. Lauren does great features each month of apartments / condos in Chicago’s amazing neighborhoods. I’m a proud resident of the West Loop neighborhood and I wouldn’t change it for the world! I remember when I was looking for a place to buy, the realtor kept telling me I needed to consider the West Loop – that it was upcoming. This was back in 2008 and BOY am I glad that I listened to her – that takes a lot from me I love the location and will never grow tired of its perfect combination of city / suburb . I have a super eclectic taste and loving combining high and low pieces in my home – my favorite way to find incredible things is antiquing! So many good finds! For the full interview, click here. How cute are these hands from Wayfair! This pig is from CB 2 and meant to be a book end, but LOVE using it this way. When I’m done with this, I can then use if for some books This headboard is inspired by a bed I saw crafted by an artist in Denver. He used vintage doors to make the headboard and frame. I found this two doors on one of my antiquing trips for $45 a piece! We hung them and then voilá![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]Our bar cart is a new addition – they are a great way to decorate a corner of your living space and provide storage for all that booze and glassware. Brian is very protective over his bourbon collection and cherishes it very much! Our bar is pretty much up of all bourdon and splash of tequila!I LOVE hosting so a function communal space is important to me as well as a coffee table that serve a purpose beyond holding a stack of books! I grew up in a household where hosting was a sport so it was important for me to have the ability to do that in this house too![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]About Neighborhooding:
