Hello and happy Hump Day! We’ve climbed that mountain and now its smooth sailing to the weekend from here on out! Who is ready for the weekend? Meeeeeeeeee (raising my hand while jumping up and down). The last few days have been super exciting and overwhelming with positive emotions! The Redbook cover was released all over the country on newsstands and I’m so honored and thrilled to be alongside such amazing women representing real women everywhere – eeeeeeek pinch me!

Today I’m sharing a look I wore back on our trip in Africa (I promise, photos to follow soon)! The colors of this post have me all excited for fall fashion and am sharing this post as fall fashion inspiration for transitional pieces. I’m starting to veer away from really bright colors and prints that I wore on repeat at the start of summer. I’ve been gravitating more towards neutrals and monochromatic looks mixed in with olive and currant – my FAVORITE fall colors. I love the deep rich hues that are found in fall fashion – they are really flattering on all skin types.

Are you ready for fall? What types of transitional pieces are you incorporating in your looks?

Thanks for stopping by!!

  1. love this look, though I wouldn’t dream of wearing it in Texas yet, haha. The olive sweater is KILLER and I love how you dressed it down with those shoes, which some how also manage to dress it up with edge!

  2. I’m definitely ready for fall, especially with 110+ degree weather this past weekend, it’s just definitely been a hot summer so I’m ready for fall. I’m also not the biggest fan of getting into a bathing suit so I’ll be happy to keep being in my jeans & seeing everyone else in jeans too! Lovely post as always & the photography is smack dab on point xx

  3. A dark navy, green or mustard tone makes me happy in the fall. And you can never go wrong with black. I love this outfit! great fall inspiration ☺️

  4. Neutral tones suit you so well…love how you styled this look…it looks chic yet super comfy. And another big congrats for your Redbook feature…you totally deserve it!

  5. LOVE a good dress that is simple enough to be accessorized a billion different ways and this one totally fits the bill! I’m swooning over the sweater you paired it with, and dreaming of the days when it’s cool enough in Texas for me to steal this look!
