Happy Memorial Day! Today is officially the kick-off of summer – yay! It’s here – it’s finally here! I’m planning on spending all my time outside today enjoying the lovely weather. We are here in Cape Cod where the holiday weekend is nothing short of quintessential. We have plans to sleep (yay), BBQ (yum) and wear all the white I possibly can! Now, Memorial weekend isn’t the reason I pull my white frayed shorts out, but it certainly is a good excuse to! I paired the look with these Sam Edelman gretchen sandals, a summer essential.

I’m one happy kid today! This summertime Chi weather has got me all like (smiley emojis). I think if you are a Chicagoan the weather has a direct effect on your mood that day – right? We all can finally emerge from our dens to and enjoy the heat, sunshine and summer fashion! Eeek! I’ve gone on a shopping spree stocking up on all things summer – live in the moment right? I’m kick off this summer fever with likely my favorite twinset in the game – this vertical striped twinset is perfect and light for any hot summer night. And it’s under $40. You’re welcome. Oh today might be one of my favorite posts for none other than the memories that were created on this particular day. We had a long day of traveling ahead of us so comfort was key – I threw all my fashion rules out the door.
