It’s around this time of year where I start to panic and can’t get my thoughts organized on what to get whom! Ah! The stress! Thanksgiving, come back! The best part about the West Loop in Chicago is that it’s filled with all sorts of small business restaurants and shops. If I’m ever in a gift pinch, I always run around the corner to my favorite store for any type of gift. Shopping small has a sense of gratitude that goes with it – while you get to buy something unique for a friend or family member, you are also helping that business! Today I’m sharing why I use my Blue Cash Everyday Card to shop small this holiday season – think presents for them, cash back for you!
The Smitten Boutique in the West Loop is ONE of my favorite places to shop in Chicago. They have an assortment of amazing gifts for any gifting dilemma you have. You can find gifts for the office, for a friend, for a coworker, for him, for baby and for newlyweds. The boutique doubles as a wedding shop, complete with wedding invitations and stationery. So like I said, there are a TON of reasons to shop here.

[/ezcol_1half_end]The other day I needed some new candles for my house and they are stocked with some of the best candle brands, one of which, Voluspa, is by far my favorite! Candles can be seriously overpriced these days which is why I shop that particular brand because their price point doesn’t exceed $32 – makes for a great house gift, hostess gift or house warming gift.
My favorite element about this store is the custom stationery they produce. It’s unique and thoughtful which make for the best gifts!! How cool are these custom posters? They are the perfect gift for a newly engaged or recently married couple. These vintage posters can be customized for any occasion too!
