Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Today is the last day to make a mad dash to the mall for those last minute Christmas presents. Raise your hand if you were running around with a chicken like your head cut off yesterday dodging shoppers in your car trying to get from one store to the next. Me!! I typically don’t wait until the last minute, but this year had me like whoa and December came out of NO WHERE! Anyone else hear me on that?

Before I go shopping I HAVE to make lists for those I’m shopping for because, it either turns into a shopping trip for myself or I spent countless hours trying to find the perfect gift. Since I needed to shop for several people all in one bang, I headed to straight to Marshalls for the gift that would create the perfect surprise! [ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end] This past weekend I had to shop for a friend that’s one of those friends that’s REALLY hard to shop for. I always want the gift to come from a thoughtful place and not just something that I bought just because or giving a gift card. Marshalls has so many amazing departments to shop within making it easy to come up with the perfect gift.

You can never fail with giving a good pair of Christmas pajamas right? They are always appreciated and you can always use for a pair of pajamas. I snagged these perfect Christmas  Ralph Lauren flannel pajamas from Marshalls for only $29.99 (originally $75) – how cute! I later then found myself near the purses – I tend to put them all on the floor and lay in them like my own personal bed of designer bags. What? You don’t?

I’m a sucker for all things monogrammed and so is my friend – this Rebecca Minkoff clutch couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s for for day wear, a night out with the girls and then doubles as your carryon for small electronic – winning! I topped the gift off with some items from the home goods section and then boxed it all up – I can’t wait to hear how she likes it![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end][ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]

Before we part today, I wanted to chat a little bit about my Santa Claus inspired look – this is my take on Santa’s red suit! This sweater from Free People is one of my favorite winter adds to my closet – the wool is Alpaca and is soooooooo soft. The sweater is cropped and the sleeves bell out giving the sweater some fun character. I paired the look with this amazing burgundy BlankNYC denim vegan leather skirt – I mean, do I need to say anything else? Lastly, I added these Michael Kors suede boots made for walking – everyone needs a pair!
