Grecian Hair Tutorial
Today I’m sharing one of my favorite go-to hair styles that takes two minutes of your time and a total of three bobby pins. I know, crazy! It truly is one of my best kept secrets. We are all experts in taking a look from day to night – well, today you’ll learn to how create a hair style to match it. It’s so good, and so easy, it will blow your mind. It’s a “what should I do with my hair at 5:01pm before a happy hour” style – well let me help you….
Follow these easy steps and you’re golden –
Buy the appropriate hair accessory. You need one with an elastic bottom – you’ll see why. Try these – style one, style two, style three. They are all great – and inexpensive!
- Part your hair to your preferred side, or middle part.
- Put the headband on over your hair. PS the dirtier your hair, the better.
- Take all the hair that is under the elastic part, see all the hair I have held in a ponytail.
- Twist the pont tail as if you were going to put in a bun. Take the twisted hair and start tucking it around the elastic part of the headband. The art of looping.
Continue wrapping your hair around the elastic until all your all hair is accounted for – make sense? You’ll loose a little blood in your fingers, but the outcome is all worth it. Once you’ve managed to wrap all the excess hair, use the bobby pins you have to secure the wrapped hair. This way you don’t have to fiddle with it later. Spray for fly-aways and VOILA!
I paired the look with some easy separates from Finders Keepers – it has a high turtleneck that calls for a great (and easy) up-do, if you will. It’s a great look for a casual Saturday brunch or a girls night out! This spring I’m all about pale blue and grey shades – it felt fitting to pair the look with my favorite light blue clutch and a crisp pair of grey heels. If the snow isn’t melting, I’m certainly going to help it! Make them do a double take, but don’t let them know it only took you two minutes – our little secret.
