Game of Thrones

It’s no secret that I’m a West Virginia football girl through and through, and today is no exception. College Gameday is back in Morgantown for the battle against #10 TCU and #20 WVU. I never liked a double digit in front of “WVU”. Thats something a Notre Dame fan would be used to, not a West Virginia fan. I wish in the worst way I was back in Morgantown to cheer on my Mountaineers – although, the past few times I’ve proven to be nothing more than bad luck :(. This game is going to be a battle and I’m prepared to fight – or at least my look is. As I was trying to pull instrpiation for this look, the only thing that came to mind was Game of Thrones. Both teams are fighting to the death to stay alive and keep their position in the playoff race. Armor is so last season – this year its about chic faux furs, fringe and leather. Going chic to battle is a must.

I started with this amazing fringe sweater coat from Free People, also styled here, – the texture and style are immaculate and make the perfect fall fashion baby, with a side of comfort. I paired it with this espresso faux leather plaid skirt from Ann Taylor – this is one of those day to night skirts that you won’t regret purchasing. My Mountaineers are close to my heart and thats where they will be – John Denver said, “Almost Heaven, West Virginia”, and he wasn’t far off. If Game of Thrones was real, they would have been the inventors of the satchel – or at least made it cool. Today the satchel serves the same purpose and then some. In order to fit all my “weaponry” (make-up, wallet, essentials), I needed this Marc Jacobs bag to come to my rescue, and it did. The perfect shape and shade for fall, not to mention, enough space for all your gameday essentials.
