Super Bowl Monday and I’m feeling “Patriot”ic

Happy Super Bowl Monday to all! Who is in agreement that this should be a national holiday? If we are going by calories consumed alone, then yes!!!

Although the Patriots were not successful in their endeavors, I still cheered my little heart out for Team Brady. Regardless of the loss, I am still feeling a little “Patriot”ic this morning and what doesn’t say that more than red, white and blue fashion! The good ole reds, whites and blues are classic, nautical and timeless, which is easy justification to have some of these items in your closet; or I just have the ability to justify any purchase 🙂

So did anyone brave the crowds at Target to get a piece of the, now sold out, Jason Wu collection? I LOVE and adore the Poplin Dress by Jason Wu. Uncle Sam will want YOU to wear this dress! Its such a flirty, feminine and versatile dress, that by adding just a blazer, this dress will transform into “work ready” wear.

Speaking of “work ready” wear, do you own a trench coat? The Jackie O look is my go to Spring look; a look that will never grow old across generations. So basically what I am saying is that you need one! Wear it casually or wear it to work. Time to toss away the North Face fleece; its all about being age appropriate and professional. The trench coat from H&M is at such an affordable price point, its stupid.

Now lets call a spade a spade with this next item. What’s not to love about this darling red, white and blue spade fringe scarf?? I mean you are going to need something to pair with that trench coat aren’t you? I’m not saying, I’m just saying!

Everyone, meet Jane’s Friend Elanie.….Hi Elanie! And I’m not kidding, this is what Marc Jacobs named her…darling! When shopping for bags if its not hands free, I walk away. Satchels and crossboys are Baby Bjorns for single women. Do I not speak the truth? If I had been at the Super Bowl this past weekend, this bag would have made my packing list. Slightly neutral in terms of teams, but you know who I was rooting for 🙂

My post would feel naked without talking about shoes. Behold, the Mila snakeskin toe cap ballet flat……say that five times fast. It doesn’t get much more “Patriot”ic than the Mila. When it comes to shoes, I rarely choose a flat over a heel, but there is something about the Mila that just says “we could be good friends”.

Happy Monday and here’s to hoping that it goes fast for all of you!
