Hello and happy Monday! I get a lot of my inspiration for entertaining from DIY videos and often find myself on the Buzzfeed and Tasty channels during all hours of the day, just fascinated by the time-lapse recipe videos they create for your everyday snacks and meals. Don’t you? They stop me in my tracks when I’m scrolling through my Facebook feed. Well this week I found the inspiration needed for my Summer Soiree with American Express.
My mom is the ultimate hostess and growing up it ‘s always been something I aspired to be for my friends and family too. For me it’s about creating a genuine experience and never letting people go home without being happy and full! With hosting on my mind, I decided to throw a little girls night inspired by a few EPIC DIY Buzzfeed videos. With my Blue Cash Everyday card, I headed to Whole Foods to shop for all the party goodies, including some LOVELY rosé. I love using my Blue Cash Card at Whole Foods, or any other grocer for that matter, and seeing 3% of what I spent come back to me at the end of the month. It’s the little things in life that make me happy – cash back and hosting:)!. Side note, I’ve been using my Blue Cash card on all the amazing sales happening right now, especially the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! If felt good to buy all my fall goodies knowing I’d be getting cash back, especially since as a new Card Member I’ll within the first 3 months of Card Membership.! Boom! I digress…..My planning started with these killer meatballs and a trio of dipping sauces (maple bacon dip, blue cheese and buffalo and jalapeno cheese dip – why, because I can never make up my mind and they are all so darn good! It’s a super easy recipe to replicate and certainly makes you look all fancy pants after you’ve hand made not one, but three sauces. Just brush that dirt off your shoulder. After the menu has been carefully selected, it’s time to start decorating the house. I used some DIY inspiration from this Buzzfeed video on how to liven up your space three different ways and not break the bank . Who doesn’t love a beautifully smelling home – this “welcoming scent” is easy to replicate and costs under $5 to make. Lemon and rosemary are so refreshing especially during the summer and it’s a great conversation piece!Hopefully this post inspired you to put together a fun dinner party with close friends and family. There is no better way to celebrate than the Epic way. Learn more about the benefits of the American Express Blue Cash Everyday Card here.
