What the Sportsanista Wore: Getting Ready for Game Day!

And Monday came way too quick!! After a fantastic weekend, I’m ready to come back to talking about my two favorite things….sports and fashion. With pre-season football in full swing and college football only a short two weeks away, I’ve got one thing on my mind…..what to wear! The Chicago Bears home preseason games have come and gone, and now the focus is on the home opener in September against rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, and the Indianapolis Colts. On a game day I run around like a chicken with it’s head cut off, the key, to not LOOK like a chicken with it’s head cut off. Now I’m the first person to wear heels to the grocery store, but when you are clocking 8-9 miles in one 12 hour day, I have to sacrifice my height in order to keep my pinky toe from falling off!  

With the first game three weeks away, I have plenty of time to pull together some great game day looks. Here I’ve paired one of my favorite pink dresses from Ann Taylor with a jacquard jacket by Frenchi, along with some bold accessories. For me its all about comfort and mobility! This dress by Ann Taylor is my fav!! The color is versatile in all seasons and so is the fabric….with tights or not tights…this dress is always evolving in my closet. To take the look to fall, I paired it with the jacquard jacket by Frenchi; normally I’m not a fan of cropped jackets, especially when wearing flats, but this one makes the cut. I’ve added the turquoise necklace for a pop of color and then bedazzled by arm with some arm candy. I get a kick out of bloggers who put about 10 inches worth of bracelets on their arm…..have you tried sitting at your computer for eight hours a day, five to six days a week, with your arm weighing 20 pounds. There is nothing glamorous about assaulting your computer with bangles, therefore my only opportunity to do so is when I’m on site….then I can take full advantage 🙂 No flag on the play 🙂
