Pink with the Fur
Did you survive Monday? I think I made it out alive, but I’m not sure. The Super Bowl made me stay up way past my bedtime and I paid for it all day yesterday. Things we did not talk about yesterday – 1) YAY! The Patriots won the Super Bowl. Were you happy with the outcome? Holy last play of the game by Russell Wilson – could have been a close one. 2) Katy Perry – I loved you and your performance. I loved the golden robotic lion, I loved the cartoon beach balls and sharks, and you BLEW MY MIND when you brought Missy Elliot back from the dead. My iTunes bill yesterday was more than my weekly Starbucks run – I love me some Missy E. Did you know that Super Bowl 49 was the most watched show in US History – major! That means we do watch things other than Keeping up with the Kardashians 🙂 I digress….
Today I’m channeling the spring energy from yesterdays post – see here – and incorporating it in todays look. A pink sweater just screams “take me to spring”. It’s the perfect piece to brighten up these oh so cold days. My favorite element to the sweater is the sheer, mesh v-neck – it’s talking dirty to ya but in a classy kinda, sorta way – you feel me? I paired the sweater in an unlikely, but highly loved combo – you can never go wrong with olive and pink am I right?
Winter isn’t all that bad, sometimes the fall and spring coats make an appearance during winter – that is if the weather plays nice. On this particular day, mother nature was behaving herself and I wore this camel boucle coat. The coat itself is great, but it needed a little boost. While in Manchester last year I found this faux fur scarf in Zara – standard, I never leave my shopping bubble. I layered the faux fur scarf over the boucle coat and voila – a new coat was born. The casual vibes of the coat were completely removed by adding this chic layer of faux fur. It’s as easy as pie!
