Let’s Play Ball!
Did anyone else grow-up playing Kenny Griffy Jr.’s Home Run Derby…on Super Nintendo? Well thats what growing up with all boys will do to you – you don’t play with dolls, you play video games. Anyway, as I was writing this post, the theme song of that game was in my head…yea, I know.
This past week Chicago was plenty busy with the White Sox and the Cubs both having their opening days. I had the pleasure of representing Sports Divas, Inc on FOX GoodDay Live last Monday. If you missed the segment, you can see it here! Later in the week I visited Wrigleyville and dove in the trenches will all the Cubs fans – in this neon tee, duh! I’ll be honest, I saw sun and got a little greedy. It was deceptively cold on Saturday and I dress for the occasion not the weather. So I was shaking from the chills all game. I solved that problem with a glutinous portion of nachos, served in a helmet. Not a mini-helmet, but an actual helmet. I even saw one fan finish her nachos, wash out the helmet and wear it – that’s taking Big Booty Judy to another level.
This post is all about the outfit I wanted to wear to the game, not the outfit I actually wore to the game. I paired this neon Alyssa Milano tee from Sporty Threads with my go-to spring item – the black midi skirt. I wear it so often I’m waiting for someone to throw me a yellow flag for a repeat offender. What I love most is that this neon tee is unexpected and unconventional – my kinda style. See how I paired it at the game here. My second move was to pair the look with these snake sandal booties – is there a better way to transition from winter to spring footwear? I think not.
And an outfit is truly only as good as it’s accessories. The Trendzone Collection (clever name), is a collection of game day necklaces produced by Gameday Runway. They are darling and add the most subtle bit of Sportsanista to your look.
Thanks to Sporty Threads for outfitting and sending the Sportsanista to the game 🙂
Anyone else take in some baseball this weekend?
