A Visit to the Olive Oil Farm

Today I’m sharing a diary of photos from one of MY favorite days during our Italy trip! We had the pleasure of visiting an Olive Oil farm in the countryside of Ostuni. In my mind I had this vision of the farm and all it’s glory – when we arrived, I was completely floored! Mind blown. OMG! We visited the Masseria Brancati farm house  – the property was stunning and straight out of a west coast decor magazine! I wore this HM fine knit dress for our day of leisure around the farm – it was the perfect dress and is soooooooo comfortable!

[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]There was so much to take in at the farm! The had acres upon acres of olive trees that date back to 2,000 years ago! The farm is also a B&B will charming apartments, but we didn’t spend the night there. Had we I would have never left! There was so much charm and character at the farm I was on sensory overload! We learned about all the different olive oils they make and how the process has evolved so much over time! It’s such a careful process that now I understand why it’s so darn expensive!! [ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]We were treated to an olive oil taste test so that we could see for ourselves the difference between the types, stages and qualities! Of course the tour ended in the gift shop where I spent the remainder of my euros in olive oil. Why not! You only live once right? We purchased this special oil that is made with lemons – it was so fresh! The other night I drizzled some over chickpeas that I added to my kale salad. Mouth explosion![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]Wearing this HM fine knit dress was a no brainer! I scored this bad boy for a cool $34.99 and never looked back. For this trip I mainly packed dresses – Italy is raging hot this time of year and since we had a lot of sightseeing planned, I needed some comfortable go-tos! This HM fine knit dress will certainly be on rotation this fall too paired with some booties and leather jacket! Boom!

And again, sorry not sorry, I wore this bag to basically carry my life around during our day! I packed my camera and a spare pare of shoes incase my feet started to quarrel with my shoes. Check out how I also styled the bag last week here and here.
