Gameday Fashion Farewell

The year has ended and so has college football, for most teams. My Mountaineers lost on Monday to Texas Tech in a game that was never really ours. Aside from our quarterback retiring before the season ended, the Mountaineer football program is climbing its way out of the dark tunnel it lived in for years.

To close out the gameday season I’m ending it the way I started, with my West Virginia Mountaineers. I layered this perfect gameday striped sweater from University Girls Apparel over my favorite plaid flannel from Zara. Its a great way to add some dimension and add a trendy piece to the overall gameday look. I paired the sweater with my favorite go-to distressed denim pants. When I bought these pants, I thought I was crazy for spending $185 on denim with holes in them, which makes me sound like my dad! With that being said, I’ve gotten my moneys worth out of them and have never looked back after the first wear. See you later football, hellooooooo basketball.

We are heading back to Chicago today after our California sabbatical. I’m cold just thinking about it – I also heavily weighed not getting on my flight today. It hasn’t even snowed yet and I’m already over it. Ugh winter….I need a vacation 🙂

Happy Friday!!
