Take Me Back to L.A.

So I think today is Monday? Work has been bananas and I’ve been traveling like a mad women so much so, that I’ve lost all sense of time. While in L.A. I went to dinner in Manhattan Beach with my boyfriend, his dad and a few of his friends. We enjoyed small plates from Manhattan Beach Post like, pig belly to lamb belly to the most delicious kale dish in the game. I highly recommend it if you are ever in the area. On the way to dinner we made a pit stop for, you guessed it, a photoshoot 🙂 Looking back on these photos makes me miss the west coast and the beach…. I digress. 

Yesterday I woke up in Washington D.C. – before that we were in Denver. We flew late from Denver to D.C. and for some reason it felt like I had jet lag. I was awake and there was no turning back. As soon as we landed I had the perfect place in mind for us to visit – Mr. Smith’s in Georgetown. It’s a hole in the wall joint located on the corner of M and 31st – in the heart of Georgetown. On the weekends they have a piano man tickling the ivories, and tickling our fancies. We walked in at the perfect time – just in time to hear Piano Man. It was such a cliche moment, but it felt sooooo right. The piano man attempted to pack up for the night, but we wouldn’t let him….not before we heard country roads. We successfully got the entire bar to sing Country Roads, sans piano man. Morgantown would have been proud. The night ended with slices of pizzas the size of a small child. All-in-all – DC, I love you. Always have, and always will!
