Lace + Leather

With the ground finally thawing in Chicago (ha, not exactly thawed when I took these photos), bare leg season is back in play. Well getting my nude pumps to match the color of my legs certainly wasn’t a problem 🙂 They blend riiiiiiight in. 

One of my favorite things is to combine hard and soft pieces to create a look. For instance, pretty feminine lace, with an edgy leather skirt. On their own, they stand just fine. Together, they are a power couple. I love how flirty and feminine this top is – not to mention its versatility. It says, school girl, meets corporate chic, meets oh I’m just causal lace with jeans. There aren’t many tops out there that can achieve that. Side note – this leather skirt is genius. It is on the long side, but who can complain about that when your legs are translucent 🙂
