Dressing Kendra Thorton for a Night in Sin City
Living in Chicago during the Winter, you forget about things like colors and prints. When Kendra asked me to put a few looks together, I wanted nothing more than to shop for fun, warm weather clothes, on someone else’s dime 🙂 I digress….
When dressing for Vegas, you need to be bold in your choices. Vegas is the land of “anything goes”, so embrace it! I’ve selected pieces from dresses with cutouts, fringe, lace-up sandals, statement jewelry, lucite clutches and a few crop tops – which are all the rage! There is a right way and a wrong way to do a crop-top – especially for the middle-aged ladies. It’s all about minding the gap – the higher waisted the skirt and the longer the crop-top, the better. The goal is to have a gap that is ever-so revealing and classy. Here are are some other important elements for a vegas outfit:
Movement – for dancing duh!
Darker colors – sweating from dancing – duh!
Light weight materials – so it’s just the dancing that makes you sweat, and not your outfit 🙂

three, I need a break! Fortunately, I will soon be getting one with a fun trip
to Las Vegas, but I need some fashion advice. It’s easy for a middle-aged mom
to lose touch with the fashion world. To help me dress for a night in Sin City,
I’m turning to you, my readers. I’ll be spending an evening at the Palms Casino
and Resort. Your challenge is to pick the perfect outfit for me to wear. It
should look and feel great, and I’d love to turn a few heads during my night
out as well.
at The Palms, I’ll certainly be spending some time at the resort’s hopping Moon
Nightclub. Every night, this club becomes a thumping, writhing dance party,
sparkling with lighting effects. As one of the hottest dance clubs in all of
Sin City, this venue literally heats up. I’ll need something cool to wear, and
I’ll want to look fresh when I move off the dance floor to join friends in the
ring of booths surrounding it. When selecting my wardrobe for the evening,
remember that the Moon Nightclub also features an outdoor area for cooling off
between sets.

shows on the strip are eye-popping. The bars and clubs can’t be compared to
those in any other city in the world Whether you’re going to a nice dinner, to
a show or to the luxurious Palms Resort & Casino, one of the best hotels along the Vegas
strip, having the right outfit can always make the night more fun.
