College Football Week 5 – How to dress up a Jersey

I wish I could say that I came up with this look on my own, however the ManRepeller (amazing blogger) posted a similar look not too long ago. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, I think. This isn’t a direct copy; she was utilized more so for inspiration.
When it comes to gameday wear, I’m always looking for new ways to incorporate pieces in my closet and pair them creatively for a fresh new gameday look. While I’m not one for wearing a logo on my chest, there is something to be said about a vintage jersey. I bought this little ditty last Fall in Dallas when I traveled there with my dad for the Bears vs Cowboys Monday Night Game. After he dragged me through the proshop, I was drug past a Nike rack with loads of these vintage jerseys. The material makes it look sateen, but not a tacky sateen. What I love most about this look is the sexy boyfriend appeal. Menswear and oversized apparel are big….huge…right now.
The jersey was lonely, so I paired it with these great palazzo pants from Zara and some suede lace-up sandals from Shoemint. Yes, this is happening. So sit down and buckle up. Wear this out for a date night or wear the look to work on a Friday. Regardless this is a top 10 BCS Week 5 look.
