Mani of the Month by Casey Cunningham

I can hardly believe it is already December! 2012 has absolutely FLOWN by! As we prepare to celebrate the holidays and finish out the year in a strong and fashionable way, keep some of these nail colors in mind.
There are so many fun, bold colors that have been released for winter and holiday collections this year! It brings a something extra to the table as we all select our holiday nail colors. There are some great options for the traditional colors in silver, bronze, red and green, but almost every collection includes some fun additions of bright hues to spice up the cold months ahead!

Butter London’s holiday collection has so many gorgeous shades…I can’t even pick a favorite! The collection includes:  Fiddlesticks (deep magenta), Scuppered (bronze brown), Jack the Lad (deep sparkly green), Scallywag (bright blue), Shambolic (deep purple)…and the stunning, disco ball-like Fairy Cake! How amazing will this polish be on New Year’s Eve? I think the thing that draws me to this collection is the fact that every shade has a glitter effect in it. So amazing for the parties and events this month!
Deborah Lippmann also has a holiday collection out with some unique shades! Rock This Town also includes a shimmery array of hues including: Chain Reaction (bronze), Mood Dancing (mutes purple) and Phoenix Rising (red with gold flecks). All of these will compliment any gorgeous holiday outfit you come up with!

Essie has had a lot of fun collections lately, but this one is really lovely! Colors include: Beyond Cozy (small, dense gold and silver glitter), Butler Please (bright blue cream—think a light shade of cobalt blue), Leading Lady (dark red with red glitter), She’s Pampered (muted red cream), Snap Happy (orange-ish red cream) and Where’s My Chauffer? (light turquoise blue).

I am beyond excited that all of these bold colors have found their way into holiday and winter lines of polish! As much as I love dark nails, I also enjoy a pop of color in the cold winter months! As the last days of 2012 tick away, rock these fabulous glitters and bold colors right into the new year! See you all in 2013!
