My Cosmetic Starting Line-Up
So today is my 29th birthday and let me tell you….I’m holding on to my 20’s for DEAR LIFE! In the approaching weeks to my birthday I started to notice things……puffy eyes….dark circles…fine lines; things that no one should see and are clearly curable on so many levels these days. It was the Nordstrom Trend Show a couple of weeks that gave me some sort of epiphany…..my beauty regimen was ALL wrong and I was using all the wrong products. I mean, sure, you can sell me anything, but really, I have finally found something that works!
Of course we all don’t have the same skin type, but me, I’m an oily person….a swarthy oily European…gross huh? Ok, so here is my NEW fall cosmetic starting line-up….cause every girl needs a starting line-up 🙂
Clarins HydraQuench Serum; Smashbox Photo Finish Primer; Giorgio Armani Maestro Foundation; Clarins Instant Smooth Line Corrector; Giorgio Armani Intense Eyeshadow #24; Chanel Rouge Allure – Incandescent
Step One: Clarins HyrdraQuench Serum – My skin has an appetite larger than my hunger alter ego, Big Booty Judy. This serum prevents my make-up from being eaten by my skin….so at 3:00pm it doesn’t look like I’ve been hit by a truck! You with me…
Step Two: Smashbox Primer – I was always afraid of primer because I thought that it would make me more oily…boy was I so wrong. This primer is like a closer in the 9th inning of a baseball game…its clutch! It creates this perfect canvas for your foundation! And it makes my skin as smooth as a babys bottom…
Step Three: Giorgio Armani Maestro Foundation – I’d heard stories about this foundation, so I had to see it for myself. I NEVER wear foundation….in fact I hate it because it makes me oily and sits in the creases on my face…no bueno. This oil based foundation is genius…..Einstein would have been impressed. It requires no sponge or brush….used your hands like you’re applying moisturizer!
Step Four: Clarins Instant Smooth Line Corrector – Botex in a bottle….thats all I have to say. Apply it under your eyes or on any fine lines….it does voodoo on your face!
Step Five & Six: The trends this Fall are a bold lip and the subtle smokey eye. The Giorgio Armani Intense shadow is perfect for that effortless subtle smokey eye. Wear it during the day or out at night! It adds just enough to give you that sexy look! Now the lipstick by Chanel is HEAVEN. The color is so Kardashian I love it! Orange is the new Red 🙂
