Mani of the Month – Caviar for your Nails!

Bikini So Tiny by Essie
This June, you could say I have the blues. Two of my favorite nail polishes of the moment are unique shades of the lovely color! Bikini So Tiny by Essie is a light shimmery color that is a cross between robins egg blue and periwinkle. It is perfect for the bright, sunny days of June.

My other current favorite blue of the moment is Baker Street by Nails Inc. It may look familiar to some of you celebrity gossip regulars; Beyonce selected it to wear out in her first public photos after having her sweet baby girl! Baker Street by Nails Inc. is the most vibrant shade of cobalt blue I have ever laid eyes on! This is the first Nails Inc. color I have purchased and I am very impressed with how well it wears; it easily lasts a full week of typing at work!
Nail embellishing is a hot trend right now whether it be ombre nails or rhinestones. One of my favorite new nail trends is caviar nails! Ciate packaged this idea, which they are selling across the country at stores like Sephora, but there is a cheaper way! Save some of those dollars you would spend on the Ciate package and buy a new pair of sandals to show off your Baker Street toes!

To pull off the DIY caviar nail look at home, you will need to head out to the craft store and pick up the following:
2) Paper plates
3) Fast Drying Top Coat
The first step is to paint the nails a solid color. Silver works well for most colors, but you can use any shade. Then, once you apply one coat of color, let it dry and put on a thick coat of the top coat, and sprinkle on your beads of choice over the paper plate. Use your fingers to lightly tap the beads in place and fill in any gaps. Then, let the nail dry and you have a lovely new conversation starter.

This look can be repeated on each nail for a bold new look, but I recommend only doing it on a statement nail. The beads tend to come off around the edge of the nail, but doing the look on every nail is fun for one big night out with the girls!
