What’s in Your Dugout?

Over the weekend I was inspired by my friend who works for the Minnesota Twins and how she works a minimum of 80 games a year. Is that normal? Absolutely not! I’ll stick to my 10 home football games a year thank you!

With that said you can most certainly have 80 game-day outfits, but thats not practical, especially if you work in sports. In sports, you are only as good as the players on the bench; well, the same goes for your closet! When shopping for work clothes, versatility is always on top of my mind. It’s extremely important to get more than one wear out of anything that you shop for! This $158 dress by Suzi Chin is in the dictionary under versatile. In baseball, it’s three strikes and you’re out; with this dress, it’s three strikes and you’re in! This is how you can wear the same dress three different ways without the umpire calling you out!

1) Now baseball season extends from April to October, which means not only do you have to be able to wear something more than once, you have to be able to wear it across three seasons. For Spring or for Fall, pair this dress with a boyfriend blazer to give it that business casual look. Try this Blazer by Michael Kors; the color is neutral and can spread across three seasons no doubt!

2) To wear this dress in the summer it’s about accessorizing, not layering. Cinch the waist on the shirt dress with a wide belt, like this one from Piperlime.com. After an awful early 90’s wedding experience, I am finally giving coral another chance and its all thanks to these shoes by Shoe Mint. The height of the wedge makes these shoes work friendly and will keep your feet happy all day!

3)  The bases are loaded, you have two strikes, what do you do? You wear this Cactus Flower necklace by Jcrew with the Suzi Chin dress. Boom…grand slam! So that the focus of this outfit stays on the necklace, add a neutral belt for that little something extra. Looking for something a little more economically friendly? Try this necklace from H&M.

If you are looking for a better bargain, try this similar dress from Forever 21. This dress is like the back-up pitcher; it shares all the same qualities, but is less expensive.

                                                      Happy Monday!
