And just like that we are back! It’s Monday and the weekend went by in a crazy flash. Well, it’s not just the weekend that went by in a flash, it’s the entire month of January!! What, it’s February?! My mind is blown that the time is going by so quickly, buuuuuuuuuut at the same time, Summer is that much closer!
Today is actually our 3 year anniversary – we generally don’t announce things like this, but today I wanted to 🙂 Tonight, like every anniversary night, we will replay our first date to a T – same place for drinks, same place for dinner, same table and meal. I love our little tradition and can’t wait to relive it. In honor of that, today’ I’m sharing some fun Valentines Day Fashion with this cute black lace and heart embroidered dress!
I’m a sucker for a good Valentines’s Day look and when I stumbled on this dress at Choies I nearly fell off my chair! The black lace is perfect for winter (even though it was 50 yesterday), and the embroidered hearts gives it a “sweet” touch for Valentine’s Day! This dress was a great excuse to dust of my favorite red bow pumps – they are my Christmas, and now, Valentine’s Day go to! The bows certainly play up the hearts on the dress!
Since outerwear is our fashion game in Chicago, I paired the dress with this perfect red coat that I layered with a faux fur stole. Adding a faux fur stole to any coat is a super easy way to upgrade any coat – I love playing around with different colored stoles too! I might have to layer my orange stole over this red coat.
Over time I’ve shifted from constantly wearing huge oversizes bags, to more minimal and functional bags. This Linea Pelle bag was talking dirty to me when cruised by it on their site – I love the heavy chain detailing on the purse the most! It reminds me of Chanel and will likely be the closest I get to one. The geometric shape clasp adds a chic modern twist to the bag – it’s the perfect bag for a dress that does a lot of the talking!
