Transitional Skincare
[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]It’s always around this time of year where my skin starts to freak-out from the weather transitioning back and forth from cold to warm to bitter cold to rainy. My skin panics and doesn’t know what day it is or how it should react. Well, my entourage of transitional skincare is the best squad a girl can ask for. It’s easy, it’s mobile and keeps my skin looking fresh and dewy throughout the year. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite transitional skincare products and how they saved me during this bi-polar season that Chicago calls Winter. The Night Time Fighter
I think we underestimate how much rest our skin requires. Revitalizing your skin from the harsh climate during the day is the key to a successful glow and repairing your skin. This Blue Nirvana Oil by Oak & Ashland has been my knight and shinning armor. It’s an anti-inflammatory packed with anti-aging agents – I mean, a girls best friend! I put about two drops of the oil on my skin at night before going to bed, and let it do its magic while I sleep. After four weeks of use, I’ve noticed a compete difference in the color and texture of my skin!
The Cocktail in a Bottle
Who doesn’t love a good refreshing cocktail? Well, this refreshing Olive Leaf Mist is just that, but for your face! After a long day of work and exposure to crazy Chicago winds, some times a cocktail is just the answer. This mist is the perfect solution after a long day of work before heading out for the night. Spray a little on to give your skin a refreshing glow and some moisture, or, I like to use it after I’ve washed my face in the morning for an extra refreshing kick in the AM.[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]Getting Moisture
Moisturizer is my jam – especially during the winter months! I LOOOOAD it on in the morning to protect my skin all day without getting face drandruff under my make-up. Anyone know what I’m talking about?? This primer from Glossier is THE best moisturizer in the game. It gives just the right amount of moisture needed without adding a heavy layer of lotion to your skin. It’s super affordable price makes it even more likable 🙂
Staying Balmy
There is NOTHING worse than a chapped lip during the Winter time! No matter how much you moisturize your lips, that haunting chapped lip keeps coming back! This “Rosey” (no pun intended) lip balm by Terry is the answer to all your chapped problems. Not only does it take care of dry lips, but it plumps your lips and adds a pink hue while doing so. That’s like getting a favor without asking for one. Black Belt
I’m not ashamed to say that I definitely have a blackhead problem on my nose – it’s been a problem for as long as a I can remember….until my little friend Mario came along. This Silver Powder by Mario Badescu has a black belt in fighting blackheads. Just after one use, this easy powder, started to unclog some of my most stubborn blackheads – since then, life has never been the same.
Happy Monday and have a beautiful day!
