Full disclosure, I started typing “YAY for Wednesdays” – shortly after I realized it was Thursday! Thats WAY better than Wednesday and now I’m happier than I was went I started writing this post. Don’t you love when that happens? Today’s look is the epitome of summer – who doesn’t love an impromptu summer picnic with games and a side of rose right? This tie front midi dress has summer ease down to a science and it’s the perfect dress for a casual summer night.
Over the Fourth of July weekend we didn’t make any plans – we kinda let the weekend make the plans for us. Everything was so impromptu and unexpected – the best part, no pressure to say yes to anything. We are extreme planners so to just let go and no do anything was quiet impressive for our personalities. On Sunday night we were sitting around and decided we had been in the house too long. We packed up a small bag and headed two blocks to the park in neighborhood.
I packed a few essentials that I received from my Popsugar Must Have box – think Birchbox, but with larger sized products (i.e apparel, cosmetics, hosting, home, etc). I received my first box in June and was super giddy! The goodies were SOOOOO good! I got this awesome sarong (that doubles as a scarf and in this instance a blanket). We played down this sarong / blanket, brought some snacks, rose and this FUN game that I also got from the Popsugar box. It’s like Catch Phrase meets Taboo with all celebrity names – disclaimer: things can get rowdy and loud if you are competitive like me 🙂 It wasn’t a picnic without some Rosè – am I right or am I right? I stumble across Luc Belaire Rose champers and new I’d like just by the packaging? Are you one of those two? I tend to buy wine / champs based on the label – whoops! The black bottle and label is so chic and lux and I was’t wrong. It was the refreshing treat we needed to close out our day and to sip on during a heated game of “Who am I”.
Seems like I reach for this dress more often than not – it’s the perfect summer dress that can easily be dressed up or down in a second. This tie front midi dress has so much versatility – I love the sexiness of the tie front combined with the small cutout underneath. I like to call that a summer pocket if you will.
For our little picnic I threw on these wicked studded sandals that are only $60!!! Beats the $900 price tag of the Isabel Marant! I have been wearing them everywhere and with everything – stay tuned for more posts with these bad boys.
