Stylelogue: Statement Fur

[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]As I type this out I am overcome with a surge of emotions. The Seattle Stylelogue is officially one years old today – we did it! To think, I moved to Seattle, met Cortney and Elisa, and started collaborating right away. The three of us went to lunch one day and we completely hit it off, sharing stories and bouncing around ideas. That was the day the Seattle Stylelogue was born! I cherish my friends with these ladies, but most importantly, I cherish our ability to collaborate and create in the Seattle community and for our followers! You all have played a large role in our inspiration and will continue to stay at the forefront for Seattle Stylelogue years to come! For this particular post, we partnered with one of the most coveted luxury brands, Max Mara, to bring you three stunning ways to style their coveted teddy coat. This month’s trend focuses on statement fur and how your outerwear plays a large role in your overall look – it’s function and fashion!

AND being that we are celebrating one year, and to show our love for the Seattle community, we are celebrating this moment with some familiar Seattle faces! The Seattle Stylelogue was made for our community and it was important for us to share this moment with the broader group and to celebrate all the beautiful and talented bloggers in the Seattle community.

STATEMENT FUR

Being a Chicago native, I understand the importance of outerwear and how it has to be both functional and fashionable! For six straight months, it’s all you wear! This statement fur from Max Mara is what dreams are made of – I didn’t know that I could love the color teal so much until I met this coat! Yes, it’s a major investment piece, but likely something you will keep in your closet forever!

The statement fur teddy coat is layered over this gorgeous knit in the same teal that helped me achieve the monochromatic look I wanted – the color is so strong, that I needed something to compliment it not, combat it! For some added texture and I wore this jacquard floral print skirt that compliments and enhances the coat in the loveliest way! To balance the pieces, I styled these AMAZING combat boots with the look! They balance in a feminine to masculine way and a luxe to low way. They are extremely comfortable and come in several colors too! [ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]

SEATTLE STYLELOGUE LOOKS

Elisa is literally glowing in this crimson teddy coat from Max Mara! Talk about a S T A T E M E N T! Walking down the street this coat will 100% cause whiplash and double-takes beware! Elisa layered her teddy over this textured black and white sweater and these wool cropped pants! I love the functionality of this look and how she can take it from work to play so easily! Cortney stayed true to her brand and styled the chicest neutral tone look I’ve ever seen! One, the teddy camel coat, their hero product, is arguably one of the most coveted, and recognized piece of outerwear. It ha been duplicated and remade by every brand! I love how Cortney layered her teddy coat with one of fall’s most coveted prints – zebra! It’s a statement wrapped in a statement – see what I did there? She cinched the waist of her sweater, with this killer belt bag for a weekend chic combo! To view her full post, visit The Grey Edit!
