Riggsicle Chronicles: Winter Blue by Megan Riggs

 In
order to feed the positive dog, I have decided that I like behemoth snow
storms.  Shock and awe.  They make the town look like it is covered
in glitter, and I then have an excuse to bum around in my sweats and discover
all kinds of life changing beauty products.
MAC Eyeshadow – Contrast
My
newest snow day find, navy eyeliner.  This may not be new to you, but it
is new to me and rocking my world.  I have never been a big fan of dark
liners, but this, this was a game changer.  I took a risk and ordered a
pot of Contrast eye shadow by MAC. This little pot of magic makes my eye
just pop and depending on the occasion, I can go darker or lighter.
Versatile, chic, and Nordstrom ships for free. Yes I will!
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure
What better way to add a little sunshine to a snowy day, than with a fresh
coat of nail polish.  I am borderline obsessed with the Sally Hansen
complete salon manicure.  7 steps in one, this is my kind of polish.
Much to my dismay, a massage chair and outdated an People magazine, did not pop out of the
box with the bottle, but I am still satisfied.  The brush is rounded, so
it cuts back on me coloring outside the lines and the colors are so
vibrant.  Water Color makes me feel like I should be on a front porch,
sipping a Shandy and listening to a little Dierks.  Le sigh summer time,
Le sigh.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub
The
bitter cold day my sample size tube of Clinique 7-Day Scrub made its way to
face cleansing heaven, was as sad, sad day for this little Riggsicle.  I
could not bring myself to talk about it for a significant amount of time.
It wasn’t until my quest toward a $45 Wal-Mart order (hello free shipping
minimum) that this all changed.  $2.50 stood between me and free
shipping.  I do not pay shipping.  Longing for an exfoliant, I made a
snap decision to add St. Ives Apricot Face Scrub to my cart.  Hello free
shipping, good bye Clinique void.  My face was thrilled and my wallet was
happy. This scrub brings my face back to life after long days at work and
frigid walks home.
 If you
are asking yourself if eyeliner, nail polish and exfoliation are really the
only things getting me through winter, the answer is yes.  And a giant
glass of red here and there.
Until
next time, Sportsanistas.
