Now I’m normally not one for pink, but a trip to Sweet Mandy B’s in Chicago warrants a lot of color, and besides, it’s almost Valentine’s Day! Now, Valentine’s Day isn’t something I like to jump up and down about, but I love a good excuse to dress up, don’t you? In case you missed it, check out my DIY Valentine’s ideas here for the gal pals in your life! In honor of the holiday I grabbed everything pink I own, true story, and combined it all into one look. This pink midi skirtis heaven and I’ve been dying to find an excuse to wear it this winter.
What I love most about this pink midi skirt is that it’s part of set! Double win and more bang for your buck. See how I styled it here. The quality of the skirt is fantastic and feels super luxe! For this look, I paired the skirt with this adorable and “sweetheart” sweater fromT+J Designs. I’m a huge fan of their store and am an active shopper with them – I love supporting fashion by local owners! The look didn’t feel complete without this blush pink wool moto jacket from BB Dakota! It was one of my favorite transitional purchases last Winter / Spring and is still available today here.
Accesorries can make a break a look these days, so I thoughtfully paired the look with this perfect Kate Spade clutch. Kitchy pieces like this purse are things I generally steer aware from, but this bag was too cute to resist! I mean anything that screams Paris I’m there!
How amazing do these cupcakes look? So true story – I went to DePaul University and rented an apartment with my roommate Katie in Lincoln Park near Sweet Mandy B’s. Most people gained their freshman 15 from drinking. No, we earned our stripes from eating the leftover frosting that they would put out at night for the taking. Yes, we were broke and hungry, and ate frosting for almost every meal our freshman year. Thank you Sweet Mandy B’s for being you 🙂
